
Thomas Quentin BensonPhone: (303) 757-8300benson@bensoncase.com Tom grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He attended college at Notre Dame University and graduated with a B.A. in 1964. He moved to Colorado to attend the University of Denver College of Law and in 1967 attained his Juris Doctorate. After finishing law school, he joined the United States Army Reserves. Two years later he joined the United States Navy Reserves as a Judge Advocate General and rose to the rank of Captain. He retired in 1998, but still coordinates the annual Alumni lunch for the unit each December and interviews prospective JAG candidates for the Navy. He was admitted to the Colorado Bar Association in 1967. His first job out of Law School was as Legal Counsel for the Denver Regional Council of Governments. He went on to another firm for a few years, then decided to go in to solo practice under the name Thomas Quentin Benson, P.C. He then grew to become President of Thomas Quentin Benson & Associates, P.C. Some of the current staff at Benson & Case have been with Tom for over 25 years. In 1998, Tom and John Case formed Benson & Case, LLP. They have grown their partnership to create a full service law firm with seven attorneys. The attorneys and staff at Benson & Case have a strong focus on finding the right solution for our clients. Tom is genuinely honored to be able to help people plan their estates or form a new business. One of his greatest joys was to assist a client in forming a business, support them as they grew the business and then help in selling the business for $10 million. Tom is or has been an active member or officer of multiple organizations including President of the U.S.A. Council of Serra International, Denver Estate Planning Council, Judicial Performance Committee for the 2nd Judicial District, Board Member – Colorado Supreme Court Grievance Committee and many others. He has a love of languages and can pronounce Hello, Goodbye and Thank You in over 85 languages. Tom has run 9 marathons in Colorado, New York, California, Arizona, and Illinois. His idea of a great weekend is to get in a 4 hour run outside in the beautiful Colorado weather. |
