Personal Injury Case Highlights*
An oncoming car struck Betty, a sixty-eight year old woman front seat passenger, while the vehicle was making a left turn. She was diagnosed with a pelvic fracture and discharged from care after six months.
Still unable to walk, we referred her to a good spine doctor who performed the appropriate MRI studies. When she decided that the risks of surgery were beyond the possible benefits, she was offered $50,000 by the other side. We tried the case and the jury awarded damages of $425,000.00 plus interest.
Joan and Frank were driving on the highway at night when a horse escaped from a corral and ran in front of them. The impact was severe. The husband suffered a head injury and neck and back sprain, and could not return to his job loading trucks.
His wife suffered compound fractures of her right arm at the elbow and shoulder. We sued the ranch operator who allowed the horse to escape through an open gate. All of the medical bills were paid by insurance. Our clients received an additional $300,000 in settlement paid by the rancher’s insurance.
