Michael Evans

Michael is a Colorado native.  He attended Xavier University on a swimming scholarship, where he received his BA and 3 years later his MBA.  He chose to pursue his law degree back home in his hometown of Denver, attending the Denver University Sturm College of Law. 

He was admitted to the Colorado State Bar in 2007. 
 
In 2007 Michael went to work for the Denver Public Defenders Office as a criminal defense lawyer.  He wanted to find "justice for the little guy".  He would spend the next 2.5 years honing his trial skills in over 30 jury trials, representing those who could not afford representation.

While Michael is focused on Criminal and Civil Rights matters,  there is often some overlap between areas of law that requires knowledge in various disciplines.

In 2009, Michael joined the team at Benson & Case, as an associate.   His focus remains on finding his clients the best solution for their legal needs.

When outside the office Michael enjoys spending time with his family.  He and his wife Athena are raising their daughter.   He also enjoys both playing and watching sports.
